The Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation (VOC) is seeking a Program Manager to oversee all aspects of project management and grants administration under the direction of the Program Director and Associate Director, as well as providing critical leadership support in program implementation, budget tracking and oversight, systems management, content production, donor reporting, and fundraising proposals. This is full-time position based in Washington, DC. While local candidates are preferred, remote candidates with strong qualifications may be considered.
The Financial Times released an article on recent evidence confirming that Beijing paid European far-right-wing politicians to shape public opinion on China, particularly attacking VOC’s Dr. Adrian Zenz Senior Fellow and Director in China Studies, for his work on the Xinjiang atrocities.

On November 30, 2023, Romania’s Minister of Culture, Raluca Turcan, visited the Victims of Communism Museum in Washington DC, accompanied by the Advisor to the Minister of Culture, Ana Mirea, and Minister Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of Romania, Mihaela Osorio. The delegation toured the museum galleries, including the temporary exhibit on the Ukrainian Holodomor, and met with Ambassador Andrew Bremberg, President of the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation. VOC was honored to discuss with the Minister the importance of remembering the victims of communism around the world, especially in Romania, and how best to preserve this history through educating about the dangers of communism.
Representatives of the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation were pleased to attend a commemorative press conference on the one-year anniversary of the White Paper pro-freedom movement in China. Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI), Chairman of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, spoke in front of the U.S. Capitol, along with Chinese pro-democracy activists and Uyghur and Hong Kong activists. Names of Chinese political prisoners were read aloud, and the CCP was decried for its numerous human rights violations.
Communist Cuba underwent its fourth Universal Periodic Review (UPR) on November 15, 2023, at the UN Human Rights Council, a process Havana repeatedly subverted since 2009 by using front groups to drown out critical human rights reports by established human rights organizations.
Born in North Korea, Grace Jo nearly starved to death as a child during the famine of the 1990s. After her father was tortured and died for the “crime” of trying to find food for his family in China, and her grandmother died from malnourishment, Grace’s mother knew they had to escape North Korea, no matter the cost.
Each year on November 7, the free world marks the National Day for the Victims of Communism to remember those who have suffered and died at the hands of communist regimes in the past, and to stand for those who are fighting for freedom today.
