VOC Participates in Home Educators Conference
This past weekend, the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation attended the 43rd annual Home Educators Association of Virginia conference. This year, 525 parents, students, and educators visited the VOC booth to explore our curriculum offerings and learn about the ideology, history, and deadly legacy of communism. During the event, VOC’s Catherine O’Connor delivered a lecture titled “Teaching Freedom: Adapting the Victims of Communism Curriculum for Every Learner.”
Our team was also excited to provide attendees with early access to VOC’s latest curricular resource, First Principles: The American Founding vs. Communist Ideology, which was developed in honor of America’s 250th birthday. This middle and high school short course features eight lessons that contrast the principles of the Declaration of Independence with the beliefs and practices of communism. This curriculum will be available to the public next month on VOC’s Amazon bookstore.
The Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation is proud to offer curricular resources that fill a void in education. Together, we can empower the next generation and stand with the victims of communism.
