VOC Launches Curricular Resource to Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday

First Principles: The American Founding vs. Communist Ideology is a new curricular resource developed by the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation in honor of America’s 250th birthday. This middle and high school short course features eight lessons that contrast the principles of the Declaration of Independence with the beliefs and practices of communism. Designed for flexible use, it can stand alone or serve as a companion to VOC’s comprehensive resource, Communism: Its Ideology, Its History, and Its Legacy.

Each lesson highlights a specific communist dictator and includes engaging class activities and quick assessments to support classroom instruction. The book also provides links to Victims of Communism’s Witness Project videos, final project ideas, definitions of key terms, a study guide, a final test, and an answer key to equip teachers with ready-to-use tools.
