Volkswagen’s audit washing in Xinjiang

A joint op-ed written by VOC’s Dr. Adrian Zenz, Senior Fellow and Director in China Studies at the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation, and Rushan Abbas, Founder and Executive Director of Campaign for Uyghurs, was published in Table China highlighting released research from Dr. Zenz connecting Volkswagen to Uyghur forced labor.

As the op-ed notes, “in light of new evidence of forced labor at a subsidiary of VW’s joint venture in Xinjiang, a critical examination reveals that the audit report should never have claimed to provide an honest assessment of the situation.”
