VOC’s Karina Lipsman Appointed to Office of New Americans Advisory Board

VOC’s Director of Government Relations, Karina Lipsman, was appointed to the Virginia General Assembly’s Office of New Americans Advisory Board to advise the Governor, cabinet members, and the general Assembly on strategies to improve state policies and programs to support the economic, linguistic, and civic integration of New Americans throughout the Commonwealth.

Lipsman described the appointment as, “a privilege” and noted that, “as an immigrant myself, I understand the challenges of moving to a new country, learning the language, and adapting to a new culture. I look forward to working with [Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s] administration and new Americans in Virginia to ensure everyone lives the American dream.”
