VOC at IRF Sumit 2026
VOC Trustee Dr. Katrina Lantos Swett, co-founder and co-chair of the International Religious Freedom Summit, assessed the current state of global religious liberty this week at the 2026 IRF Summit in Washington, DC.
Addressing experts and advocates for religious freedom, Dr. Lantos Swett spoke alongside fellow IRF Summit co-chair Amb. Sam Brownback. “On the bad side of the ledger, the evidence now is that over 80% of the world’s population live in countries where there is some degree of repression, persecution, and societal and legal imposition on this fundamental human right,” said Dr. Lantos Swett.
VOC speakers, such as Dr. Eric Patterson and Dr. Adrian Zenz, have participated in past summits and VOC hosted an event on the ‘martyrs of communism’ in association with the IRF Summit in 2025.
