China’s War on Faith

On Wednesday, May 15, the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation, in partnership with the Ben Franklin Fellowship, held a book talk with Ambassador Sam Brownback, the former U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom, on his newly published book, China’s War on Faith. This event also featured a discussion with Chinese dissidents, including Ping Yu, Chunyan Wang, who was imprisoned and forced to make garments simply for being a Falun Gong practitioner, Pastor Pan Yongguang, head of the Mayflower Church, a congregation of Chinese Christians who fled religious persecution in China, and Bob Fu, President of the China Aid Association.

The event kicked off with introductions from Dr. Eric Patterson, President and CEO of VOC, and Albert T. Gombis of the Ben Franklin Fellowship.
