In 2017, the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation brought Chinese dissident Lily Tang Williams to visit 19 colleges and educate American students about China.

She shared her personal experience growing up under Mao and warned that Beijing-backed Confucius Institutes on US campuses advance Chinese Communist Party propaganda and block the truth.
