Peter Wolf

Peter Wolf

Peter Wolf grew up in Germany and immigrated to America in 1961, on one of the last immigrant ships, the MS Berlin. He graduated from the University of Illinois in 1973, where he studied physics and math. Peter was employed as an engineer until 1985, when he started his own business job search and realized his American Dream—starting a successful business, owning a home, and raising a family in a free society. Peter is President and Founder of PhotoCrazy, Inc. and he frequently shares his daring escape from communist East Germany and his love for America at schools, civic groups, and organizations like the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Ronald Reagan Library. His story has been chronicled in a book and a play by Paul Cooper, both entitled “Because I Can.”
