Peter Rollberg, Ph.D.

Dr. Peter Rollberg is Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Research Initiatives at The George Washington University. He is also Co-Chair of the Academic Council of the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation. Rollberg grew up in Halberstadt, Germany, and in Moscow. He was formerly director of the GWU Honors Program, director of the GWU Film Studies Program, Chair of the German and Slavic Department, Chair of the Department of Romance, German, and Slavic Languages and Literatures, and Director of the Institute for European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies. Rollberg is author and editor of numerous works. He won a Bender Teaching Award in 1999 and the Trachtenberg Teaching Award in 2001.
