Yuri Perez
Director of Latin American Studies
Yuri Perez is the Director of Latin American Studies at the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation, where he oversees VOC programs supporting political prisoners, anticommunist partners, and human rights defenders in Cuba and Venezuela. Prior to joining VOC, Yuri served in different roles for other non-profit organizations such as Freedom House and the Cato Institute, advancing similar pro-liberty goals in Latin America. Before receiving political refugee status in the United States, Yuri led anticommunist youth movement in his native Cuba.
