Stefan Mandic
Stefan Mandic is a Balkan Fellow at the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation where he focuses on the foundation’s academic coverage and activities regarding the Balkan nations. In 2023, he graduated from American University with a major in Political Science and a concentration in Comparative Politics. During his time at AU, he cofounded and served as secretary of the university’s Student Association for Slavic Studies and led the Ambassador Series, where ambassadors of Slavic countries were brought in to talk about life if diplomacy and pressing global issues to students. After college, he most notably worked in curating arms and military equipment for the New Jersey National Guard and Militia Museum, focusing on both the strategic and tactical importance of weapon systems from the communist and former communist world. He has published multiple works in multiple magazines covering politics, international relations, and historical issues in Serbia and the Balkans at large. He speaks Serbian and Russian.
