Kerri Flynn serves as the Education Outreach Coordinator of the Victims of Communism-St. Louis Commission (VOC-STL). She works closely with the Commission Director and the Education Outreach Committee to disseminate VOC’s curricular supplement—Communism: Its Ideology, Its History, Its Legacy—and to support best practices with local educators. A 2017 Victims of Communism Teacher Fellow, Flynn teaches about the human cost of communism at Washington High School, where she teaches Human Rights and Genocide, US History, and College Credit Psychology and Sociology. As a National WWII Museum, United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, and Olga Lengyel Institute Fellow, she works to develop a variety of resources and lessons to help students better understand the necessity of human rights and the consequences of authoritarian government regimes.
