Ms. Chelsea Michta is a Ph.D. Candidate and Cambridge Trust Scholar at the University of Cambridge where she is writing her dissertation on political realignments in Poland during and after the post-communist transformation (expected defense Summer 2020). Her master’s thesis, which examined the contested legacy of the Warsaw Uprising of 1944, won the Zdanowich Prize from Trinity College, Cambridge. In 2019, she was a Title VIII Central/East European Area Studies Fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis, where she published a paper on efforts to enhance military mobility along NATO’s northeastern flank. She has also held internships at Freedom House, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Center for Strategic and International Studies. Before commencing her doctoral studies, Chelsea received her M.Phil. at Cambridge University and her B.A. at Amherst College.
