Abraham Armstrong
Abraham Armstrong is Associate Director of China Programs at the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation, where he provides management oversight of VOC’s China team. Previously he spent over a decade in journalism, business consulting, and nonprofit development. From 2018-21 he served as VOC’s Associate Director of Development, overseeing its external publications, grant writing and reporting, and donor relations. From 2016-18 he edited for the International Finance Corporation of the World Bank Group, supporting regional and field teams in the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia. From 2013-16 he worked as an editor and analyst for a British economic research firm, covering emerging markets in the Gulf and East Asia, including China’s Belt and Road Initiative. From 2010-13 he worked as a reporter in Washington State, and a business consultant in the vacation rental industry. A native of the west coast, he holds a B.A. in English literature from Hillsdale College and has lived in France, Germany, Switzerland, Turkey, Alaska, and the Caribbean. He speaks German and French.
