Jewher Ilham on Bill Hemmer Reports

During Captive Nations Week Summit 2020, we awarded the Victims of Communism Human Rights Award to Ilham Tohti, Uyghur activist and economist serving a life sentence in China for advocating for regional autonomy in Xinjiang. Tohti’s daughter, Jewher Ilham, who received award on his behalf, joined Fox News’ ‘Bill Hemmer Reports’ to discuss communist China’s human rights abuses in Xinjiang — and against her father specifically. She shared that the award “does not only acknowledge my father’s work and braveness, it also sheds light on the Uyghur cause.”
