VOC is pleased to host a webinar with Pedro Urruchurtu, top aide to Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado and one of five dissidents who spent 412 days trapped in the Argentine Embassy in Caracas by Maduro’s regime. They secretly left the embassy in an operation coordinated by the United States, Argentina, and Brazil, and were safely transferred to U.S. soil. Pedro will share his personal testimony of what it meant to spend over a year in diplomatic prison, under persecution by the Venezuelan regime, and the importance of fighting for freedom even in the darkest moments.
