On Wednesday, March 26 at 7:00 PM ET, the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation will host an online teacher seminar for educators to explore the best methods for incorporating into the classroom our 4th edition high school curriculum, Communism: Its Ideology, Its History, and Its Legacy.
In this online webinar, Dr. Eric Patterson, VOC President and CEO, will walk teachers through one lesson plan to show the ways in which classroom activities, peer-reviewed essays, take-home assessments, and supplemental resources are incorporated. He will also showcase additional VOC resources, including Witness Project video testimonials and co-curricular products like Ten Great Speeches Against Communism and Learning Liberty Through Freedom Movements. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions during the webinar.
Dr. Patterson is a former public high school teacher and former college professor who routinely works with educators and student groups at the Victims of Communism Museum and across the country. He is an active scholar on the moral dimensions of national security and international affairs, as well as author of over 20 books.
VOC is proud to expand its offering of resources for rising generations of teachers and students to study the criminal past and enduring legacy of communism. We hope you can participate in the webinar briefing on Wednesday, March 26 at 7:00 PM Eastern.
