Celebrate Freedom250 by Remembering the Heroes
Today, America celebrates 250 years of freedom. On July 4, 1776, our founders stood united against a tyrannical force, with a dream of a more perfect union. In doing so, they pledged to each other their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor. They succeeded in building a nation that still upholds those freedoms 250 years later.
For many across the globe, however, this dream of freedom that shined from America’s shores was held captive by the yoke of communism. And as the Iron Curtain descended, the brutal ideology of Marx would claim the lives of more than 100 million people and imprison over one billion more.
Today, on America’s birthday, VOC is honored to announce a new project to highlight the heroes—whether well-known or unsung, public or unrecognized—who refused to back down against the siren song of socialism. Will you join us to equip the next generation of anticommunists with inspiring stories of freedom, sacrifice, and faith?
Nominate an everyday hero and make their story heard today on VOC’s Wall of Honor.
