Ilan Greenberg
Ilan Greenberg is a Senior Media Fellow at the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation and a longtime journalist and media entrepreneur. He is the executive director and editor-in-chief of The Pursuit, a nonprofit newsroom that deploys investigative journalism, legal analysis, and independent monitoring to document the efforts of authoritarian regimes to hound and silence their critics around the world, exposing the perpetrators, their methods, and the technologies that are fueling this growing crisis. Ilan co-founded Coda Story, an award-winning, nonprofit newsroom dedicated to publishing original narratives on global crises stemming from autocratic practices. He was the author of a GQ story about international gangsters emerging from the Balkan Wars in the 1990s that was adapted into a podcast called Infamous International, produced by the Exactly Right Network and Best Case Studios. For more than two decades, Ilan worked as a journalist for such outlets as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times Magazine, Slate, and Wired among many other publications.
