The Hon. Hae Yung Chung
The Honorable Hae Yung Chung was the former Vice President of the South Korean National Assembly and was a member of the opposition party in the 1970s. A former businessman, he established the Dongcheon Scholarship Foundation in 1955, which aids the children of migrants and refugees. He received the Truman-Reagan Medal of Freedom in 2002 for his work promoting a liberal economic enterprise system in Korean and refuting the North Korean totalitarian economic system.
