On April 11, Joint Baltic American National Committee, the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America, and the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation hosted a special event entitled Joining the Free World: The Baltic Journey Post-Communism.
The conversation took place at the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center and explored the Baltic nations’ heroic journey from oppression under communism to liberty in the free world and to today’s NATO eastern flank as war rages in Ukraine. This event was co-hosted by the Senate Baltic Freedom Caucus, the House Baltic Caucus, the Congressional Ukraine Caucus, and the Victims of Communism Caucus. A reception followed the discussion.
