H.E. Vytautas Landsbergis, Ph.D.
His Excellency Dr. Vytautas Landsbergis is a Lithuanian statesman and scholar. As former Chairman of Sajūdis, a signatory of the Act of the Re-Establishment of the State of Lithuania, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Lithuania, President of the Seimas, and Founder of Homeland Union, he helped shepherd his country’s transition to democracy. In 1999, he was awarded the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation’s Truman-Reagan Medal of Freedom.
