Brittany Balmer is the Director of Operations at the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation where she provides leadership for the administration, events, interns, and information systems teams and portfolios. Brittany focuses on improving efficiency, implementing strategic objectives, and directing cross-discipline projects. Brittany recently served as Chief of Staff at the State Department’s Office of the Chief of Protocol, serving on the front lines of diplomatic engagement welcoming presidents, prime ministers and other world leaders to our country for the President, Vice President, First Lady, and Secretary of State. Brittany also served as Director of Advance and Scheduling, and Chief of Protocol for the U.S. Department of Commerce, coordinating global trade missions and official engagements for Secretary Wilbur Ross. Prior to joining the Administration, Brittany was a Senior Event Producer with The Heritage Foundation focusing on logistics, operations, and event management. Brittany attended Cornell University and Arizona State University. She holds a B.A. in finance with a concentration in international markets. Originally from Las Vegas, NV, she now resides in Arlington, VA.
