Join Us for DC Film Premiere of “Havana Motor Club”
Come See The DC Film Premiere of Havana Motor Club:
As part of a series of events for Captive Nations Week, VOC will be hosting the premiere screening of Havana Motor Club here in D.C. The film tells the story of underground drag racers and their quest to hold Cuba’s first official car race since shortly after the 1959 Revolution. Outlawed in 1958 by the Castro Regime, hundreds of car enthusiasts have fought for the freedom to enjoy their favorite passtime, RACING!
The DC Premiere of the award-winning documentary Havana Motor Club spotlights the culture and passion of the Cuban people while demonstrating the limited freedoms they experience every day.
At the premiere we are delighted to be premiering our third addition to the Witness Project series. This 5 minute short will feature Sirley Ávila León, a courageous champion of human rights in Cuba today. We hope you will be able to join us and support this important opportunity to share these stories of hope amid the darkness of Communism.
Tickets are only available for advance purchase through eventbrite. Make sure to reserve your ticket today as seating is limited. Register Here
