Rosa María Payá is a Cuban democracy and human rights activist whose father, Oswaldo Payá, was head of the Christian Liberation Movement and advocated for a democratic transition in Cuba. He died in 2012 under mysterious circumstances. Rosa María has continued his legacy by founding Cuba Decide, a citizens’ initiative dedicated to the democratization of Cuba.
